Many Pulaski County students have earned degrees or been named to the dean's list at their respective colleges and universities this spring. A list of those students follows:
WINAMAC - Winamac-based family physician, author and teacher Dr. Ed Hollenberg has introduced "Family Power,” a bi-monthly blog/commentary column focusing on family and marriage issues. Based on subjects discussed in his two books, Powerful Partnering and Family Power, the blog is currently posted on wordpress and blogger. The column will also be distributed to area newspapers and print publications. Read more: Dr. Hollenberg introduces blog on family, marriage issues FRANCESVILLE - The West Central School Board heard an overview of the schools' three-year capital projects plan at its meeting Thursday (July 15) night. The plan will be discussed in greater detail during a board work session Aug. 5. The board also reviewed the fiscal year-end extra-curricular funds account balances. Town will no longer collect grass clippings after July 31 WINAMAC - Park manager Don Thompson told the Winamac Town Board at its monthly meeting Monday (July 12) that the town park has been “super busy” this past month with no new vandalism reported. He added that the Kiwanis Club will host a circus in the back of the park at the end of August. Councilman John Behny noted that there were many favorable comments on the park during the softball tournaments hosted during a recent weekend, and that the local eating establishments benefited from the weekend crowds. |
