John Behny of Winamac was sworn in as the new Pulaski County Coroner Thursday, Oct. 1. He fills the remainder of the term of Steve Vanderaa, who announced last month he was stepping down from the position, effective Oct. 1. A former Winamac man is dead following a two-car crash about 9:45 a.m., Sunday, near Bourbon in Marshall County. The victim is identified as Michael Nuss, 30. The Community Foundation of Pulaski County (CFPC) awarded $1,000 to Friends of the Panhandle Pathway in a second charity giveaway this year. The Panhandle organization received the most votes in an online survey to win. Community members chose from a list of county organizations that hold endowment funds at the Community Foundation.
