In other business, teacher Rob Evans presented information on the new school website. The website is now up and running and has lots of useful information that is being updated continually. Visitors may choose the elementary school, middle school, high school or central office when they access the website and each school's information is now all in its own individual location. The new website may be accessed at www.wcsc.k12.in.us.

Also in other business, the board approved a motion for the salary and benefits of the certified staff members, as presented.

Approval was given to the conference request from Jessica Murray to attend the Gordon Food Service Food Show in Grand Rapids, Mich., as presented.

Under discussion items, the board learned the elementary school staff is receiving training on the “Simple
Six” which is a program to assist students in improving writing skills.

It was announced the first Title I “Parent Meeting” will be held on Sept. 14.

The sixth grade camping trip is next week.

Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, Sept. 22 from 3:30 to 6 p.m., for grades 6 through 12.

Homecoming activities begin at the high school next week.

The high school received an “A” rating according to the PL 221 guidelines.
