Mrs. Link has served as the county Extension Homemakers treasurer for over 20 years, and has held every office in the Happy Homemakers Club. She has always been willing to help the Extension office in any capacity from stuffing newsletters to watching the office while the staff are unable to be there.
“Marcia is a true Friend of Extension,” said Samantha Williams, County Extension Director/4-H Educator. “She is loyal, friendly, and someone you want on your team.”
Angie Abbott, associate director for Purdue Extension and program leader for Health &Human Sciences, spoke to the group about the different programs offered to communities through Health & Human Sciences of Purdue Extension. Many of the programs mentioned are currently presented by the Pulaski County Health & Human Sciences Educator Mandy Medbourn.
The mission of the Purdue University Cooperative Extension Service is education of Indiana citizens through the application of land-grant university research and knowledge base to develop youth and strengthen agriculture, families, and communities.
Purdue Extension of Pulaski County hosted the event, and those attending enjoyed the fish fry dinner.
