The corrections staff at the Sheriff’s Office booked 1,007 people. They transported over 800 offenders, logging over 90,000 miles. They logged more than 3,500 pieces of mail and supervised 1,000 visits between offenders and family members. The jail staff prepared and served 65,000 meals. The Sheriff’s Office continues to house offenders for the Indiana Department of Corrections and other counties, earning nearly $71,000 as a result.

The 911 dispatch center is also part of the Sheriff’s Office. The 911 dispatch center received 73,474 calls for the year. Of those calls, approximately 4,354 were 911 calls. Dispatch logged in over 3,000 civil papers. The dispatch coordinates all radio traffic for the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office,  Winamac, Francesville, and Medaryville Police, in addition to all fire departments in Pulaski County, as well as the ambulance service.

Another vital part of the Sheriff’s Office is administration. This division does handgun permits, tax warrants, background checks, sex offender registration, payroll for the sheriff’s office, tax sales, several budgets, claims, D.O.C. billing, and the commissary account.

"While each division of the Sheriff’s Office is unique in job description, together they have collaborated to provide the citizens of Pulaski County the best possible services to ensure our community is the well-kept and protected place we are all proud to call home," said Sheriff Richwine.

"Through conservative financial responsibility and collaboration with other agencies, my office was able to accomplish all of the above while returning approximately $62,000 to the Pulaski County general fund," he continued. "I am honored to serve the citizens of Pulaski County and look forward to another successful year as your sheriff."
