Sunshine members and Junior Leaders went from door-to-door throughout the community to collect canned goods. The food was then donated to Pulaski County food pantries to help stock shelves for the upcoming holidays.
Both organizations would like to thank everyone who donated, the youth who helped collect food, and the parents/family members who drove the youth.
Junior Leaders is a 4-H project that is administered through the Pulaski County Extension Office, located on 125 S. Riverside Dr. in Winamac, and the staff can be reached for questions at (574) 946-3412. The Pulaski County Extension Office is open from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The 4-H mission is to assist youth and adults in their development by conducting hands-on educational programming, using the knowledge base of Purdue University, other land grant universities, and the United States Department of Agriculture.
