The core of this new system is a ceiling-mounted projector in the library’s Activity Room. Presenters can connect their laptop or other device to the projector via an easy-to-use wall-mounted control and input panel. A new screen enhances the quality of the projected image, and ceiling-mounted speakers provide the audio aspect of audiovisual presentations.
“We’ve been wanting to install a presentation system in the Activity Room for quite some time,” said MacKenzie Ledley, library director. “The library has long served as a place for local groups to meet. This new system should make it easy for them to include PowerPoints, videos, and more in their presentations.”
The Activity Room and presentation system can be reserved by any adult library card holder for a meeting of their group or organization. There is no charge to use the new system. If you’re interested in using the room or system, you can reserve the room by calling the library at 946-3432 or by visiting the library’s website at www.pulaskicounty.lib.in.us.
“We’re excited about this new service, and we’re grateful for the Community Foundation’s annual grant program which made it possible,” said Ledley. “We hope that members of the community will take advantage of this new opportunity.”
