Alliance Bank HR Director Barb Schultz addresses Alliance Bank’s Junior Board of Directors on business etiquette.
|
One of the key messages Schultz shared with students was to simply get a degree. “You never know where life will take you and a degree will never keep you from reaching your goals and doing whatever it is you hope to accomplish, but not having one just may!”, stated Schultz.
She pointed to her own experience as an example - a native of New York, attending Purdue University and graduating with a degree in agronomy, the study of soil.
When speaking to the Junior Board about business etiquette, Schultz touched on best practices for filling out college and job applications, being prepared for an interview and appropriate dress attire. “Etiquette is basically manners” said Schultz, “and remember, the goal is to get the job!”
