In other business, the council voted to adopt a resolution for transfer of appropriations.
After discussion, the council voted 3-1 to approve a resolution to honor outgoing councilman John E. Plowman for his service to the town. Councilman Richard Denney voted in opposition.
Clerk-Treasurer Melanie Berger, informed the council that Chris Smith has asked to use the baseball diamond again this summer for the 4-H dogs. After discussion, it was decided that both the baseball and dog programs should work out a schedule that will fit both needs.
Berger also advised the council that electric superintendent Doug Shorter may have to look at replacing the big bucket truck soon.
An organizational meeting has been scheduled for 6 p.m., Jan. 5, at the municipal complex. An executive meeting will be scheduled immediately following. Interviews for the town manager’s position in executive meetings will be scheduled for Jan. 7 and 8.
