Winamac salutatorian is Courtney Lynn Boos, daughter of Matt and Lynndy Boos of Winamac. She will major in business, with a minor in Spanish, at Butler University. West Central salutatorian is Katie Isch, daughter of Burt and Karlene Isch of Francesville. She will attend IUPUI to major in Spanish and pre-medicine.
Baccalaureate services for the Class of 2014 at West Central High school will begin at 2 p.m., Sunday, Mary 25; followed by commencement exercises in the high school gymnasium.
Commencement exercises for the Class of 2014 at Winamac Community High School will be at 7 p.m., Friday, May 30, in the high school gymnasium.
Eric Newman's extra-curricular school and community activities included 4-H, 4-H Junior Leaders, National Honor Society, FFA, Academic Super Bowl, Quiz Bowl, Robotics, St. Joseph Religious Education, Science Olympiad, Key Club, Midwest Conference Math Contest, and Spanish Quiz Bowl. He has also participated in soccer, cross country and track.
His awards and honors have included Lilly Endowment Scholar, Presidential Award for Service, DAR Good Citizen, 4-H Achievement Royalty, 4-H Ultimate (Livestock) Showman, Soccer Top Team Player and Soccer Captain Award.
Trevor Putt's school and community activities included Business Professionals of America, Student Council, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor Society and 4-H.
His achievements and honors have included Top Scholar Award (sophmore, junior), Honor Roll, Anatomy and Physiology Award, U.S. History Award.
His extra-curricular activities include his church youth group and high school plays. He enjoys playing sports and spending time with friends.
Courtney Boos' extra-curricular school activities included Sunshine Society president, Student Council vice president, Key Club, National Honor Society, Midwest Conference Math team, and Spansh Quiz Bowl. She also participated in basketball, volleyball and softball.
Her awards and honors have included Distinguished Honor Roll, Academic All-Conference, Prom Princess, Snowcoming Queen.
Katie Isch's school activities included Student Council, Sunshine Society, and National Honor Society.
Her extra-curricular activities include her church youth group and church choir, teaching the three- and four-year-old Kingdom Kids classes every other Wednesday night at church, and working as an aide at Parkview Haven Retirement Home. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, and baking and cooking.
