PCCF’s youth philanthropy effort was also featured at the celebration.  Both county elementary schools are participating in a “Fans of Philanthropy Club” camp this fall, led by Kim Krause of PCCF. With the help of a character named Phil Anthropy, the children learn that philanthropy is giving time, talent and treasure for the common good.

“Philanthropy is growing in a variety of ways in Pulaski County with the support of the Community Foundation,” said Wendy Rose, executive director. “The establishment of nearly 100 funds for our community’s future makes that clear. This gathering of fund founders, grant recipients, board and committee members and sponsors allows us to celebrate the giving spirit in our community. We are thrilled to not only see impact being made today, but also to know our community will benefit greatly in the future due to so many charitable-minded people around our county.”
