Scott Fritz, chairman of the board of the Pulaski Health Foundation, Inc., remarked, “Pulaski Health Care Center has a long history of compassionate, excellent care, as has Parkview Haven. The opportunity to combine our strengths to the benefit of our residents was one we knew we had to pursue. We are excited about the combined potential for our residents and their families.”
Harvey Gutwein, chairman of the board of the Apostolic Christian Home, Inc., stated, “Parkview Haven has been a blessing to numerous residents, volunteers, staff and the community for several years. Likewise, Pulaski Health Foundation has been offering quality care for decades. As the transition of ownership to Pulaski Health Foundation takes place, we are confident that the quality of care will continue for the residents in our communities.”
The transaction closing is scheduled to take place in the near future, with all current Parkview Haven and Pulaski Health Care Center employees maintaining positions with the organization.
Pulaski Health Foundation is an advocate for health and wellness on a county-wide basis, and for providing more comprehensive health-related services. The combination of these two respected organizations will facilitate that effort. Both boards feel this purchase is a positive move as the two facilities will be collaborators in improving the county community’s health and wellness.
Pulaski Health Foundation, originally known as the Pulaski Memorial Hospital Foundation, was formed over 50 years ago to help facilitate the construction of the county hospital. Twenty-five years later, the Foundation constructed, and continues to operate the Pulaski Health Care Center nursing facility.
