“Art on the Spot” consisted of several tables where students could create and take home original pieces of art. Between tile painting, clay creations, face painting and more creatively fun items, the event gave the TV show “Colorsplash” a run for its money. Great art was created and enjoyed by all.
All this would not have been possible without assistance from volunteers who assisted the sorority, including Angie Newman, Lisa Doud, Dave Crissinger, Dan Murphy, Dave Bennett and Jeanne Newman who helped with setting up, tearing down, supervising and keeping the sound system running. Special thanks to the Church of the Heartland in Winamac for providing the space for allowing Psi Iota Xi to creatively “Celebrate the Arts.”
Finally, the sorority extends special thanks to all its generous donors: Kewanna Metal Specialties, Bennett Insurance & Realty, Goble Heal Chiropractic PC, The Braun Corporations, Winamac Coil Spring Inc. Alliance Bank, 1st Source Bank, Bev Thompson Krasner of State Farm Insurance, Marita R. Grisel CPA, Murphy Law Office, Beauty Break and Frain Mortuary.
Psi Iota Xi was originally founded in 1897 in Muncie, Indiana. Our mission is to further charitable enterprises; study the best art, literature, and music; develop ourselves socially, morally and intellectually; and ask for God’s help to advance in these fields of endeavor. The Winamac Chapter was established in 1996.
