Dr. Hollenberg was recently honored with the 2010 Alumni Honor Award at Manchester College, one of five of the college’s alumni to be honored this year.
In private practice since 1955, including five years on the teaching staff at the University of Illinois School of Medicine Family Practice Residency program in Peoria, he is a diplomat of the American Board of Family Practice and a fellow of the American Academy of Practice. He served on the Indiana Medical Licensing Board as well as on the Federation of State Licensing Boards.
An active advocate of physical, emotional and spiritual excellence and balance, Dr. Hollenberg's lifelong interest in holistic medicine, preventive medicine, and marriage mentoring provided inspiration for his two books. Based on years of research, observation and experience, the books outline 13 powerful processes for excellence in life and relationships.
He is founder, curriculum creator and instructor of the School of Response/ability, a 13-week program providing direction, resources and support for prisoners and probationers. Working in partnership with local and area law enforcement agencies, Dr. Hollenberg's innovative approach is changing lives through dynamic words and thoughts.
Dr.Hollenberg and his wife of 60 years, Jean, live on a farm in rural Winamac. They are parents of six children and 19 grandchildren.
