In other business, the board approved a motion to advertise the 2013 School Budget, Capital Projects Plan and the Bus Replacement Plan, as presented.
The board approved the resignations of teacher Gina Hierlmeier and Title I instructional assistant Danielle Christensen.

The board voted to approve the contracts for the classified employees for Cooperative School Services, as presented.
Under discussion items, Mellon stated that the only staff vacancy that exists at this time is a two-day per week speech and language pathologist. He noted that summer maintenance projects are being completed.
It was reported that the MASE Insurance Trust is offering free flu shots to anyone who is covered under the school insurance plan.
The school received word that the Universal Service Support application was approved in the amount of
$75,444.60. This will cover approximately 77% of the total cost to the school for providing Internet service and appropriate bandwidth.
The first student day is Tuesday, Aug. 14. As a reminder, students will arrive at school 30 minutes later each Thursday throughout the school year.
