Over the course of its history, the Foundation has provided over $8 million to benefit Pulaski County, including a nearly $5 million educational grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. Other special project grants from the Endowment in the early years highlighted the
capacity of a foundation for its community.
From 1997 with 5 funds and just over $800,000, the Pulaski County Community Foundation has grown to 96 funds and over $6.5 million today.
Distributions (grants) from the Foundation’s endowment funds are made every year and provide support for charitable causes from education and environment to human services and community development. In addition, over $375,000 has been distributed in
scholarship awards since 1998, not counting Lilly Endowment Community Scholarships.
President Bob Simpson stated, “We want residents to recognize the impact PCCF has had in our community over the past 15 years, and are inviting them to encourage its growth, both in dollars and future impact.”
