Indiana's daily new cases dipped as low as 312 the end of June, but since then numbers have been climbing back into the 600s and 700s. After a dip to 452 on Monday (July 13) the state numbers have risen all this past week: 662 on Tuesday (July 14), 700 on Wednesday, 735 on Thursday and 747 on Friday.
Saturday’s report brings to 55,654 the total number of Indiana residents known to have the novel coronavirus. A total of 2,627 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 17 over the previous day.Another 193 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by ISDH and occurred over multiple days.
To date, 614,455 tests have been reported to ISDH, up from 604,635 on Friday.
As of today, nearly 35 percent of ICU beds and nearly 83 percent of ventilators are available statewide.
